2010 Utah ASTA Chapter
State Solo Competition

(of the 2011 ASTA National Solo Competition, March 16-19, 2011, Kansas City, MO)

Categories in both Junior* (under age 19) and Senior** (age 19-25) Divisions for
Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Classical Guitar, and Harp
Prizes in Each Division: First – $150. Second – $75. Third – $50.

Preliminary Recordings Due: October 1, 2010
CD or Cassette Recordings only.
Entry fee: $45. ($20. for each additional sibling). Checks payable to Utah ASTA.
The top three contestants in each category and division will be chosen from preliminary
recordings to compete in the State Competition Final Round.

Results of the preliminary round will be announced by personal email and letter by October 15, 2008.

Held at the annual Utah ASTA Fall Workshop,
Ecker Hill Middle School, 2465 Kilby Rd., Park City, UT 84098

Participants must be ASTA members or a student of a current ASTA professional member.
Proof of membership is required.

*Junior-under age 19 (born on or after March 20, 1992)

**Senior-ages 19-25 (born on or after March 20, 1986 and before March 20, 1992).
