Miranda Horne

Miranda Horne has been a music educator since 1994, teaching in 33 different schools mostly in the Davis School District. She is the orchestra director at West Point Junior High. She teaches private string, guitar, piano and percussion lessons. Miranda enjoys being an active guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator. She is a member of the Ogden Concert Band, the Syracuse Orchestra and the Syracuse Jazz Band, playing bass/percussion. She received her MAED in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix and her BMus in music education/percussion from the University of Utah. She is currently serving as chair of the UMEA All-State junior high orchestra. She has also served on the mentor committee for UMEA, as the Davis District orchestra team lead, president of the UofU Collegiate MENC, vice president for the UofU Student Advisory Music Committee, and Treasurer for CMENC. She is an active member of NAfME and ASTA.
